Goa
Beyond the beach shacks
Overview
Overview
There are two Goas. One is loud and cheap. The other is Portuguese-Indian heritage homes in Assagao, spice plantations in the interior, Saraswat and Catholic Goan cooking that ranks among India's best regional cuisines, and quiet stretches of sand in the far north and deep south.
We only book the second one.

What our travellers say
Twelfth trip to Goa and the first time I saw Fontainhas properly or ate at a Saraswat home. Completely reframed a place I thought I knew.
