A private cherry blossom tour of Japan
Ten nights chasing the blossom front from Tokyo to Kyoto
The journey
A private cherry blossom tour of Japan should follow your interests as well as the season. Our Japan Sakura Collection offers a starting point for India-based travellers who want time in Tokyo and Kyoto, thoughtful stays and a route shaped around their own party, rather than a group departure.
The blossom front moves north through Japan at roughly 25 kilometres a day, and we track the forecast weekly to place you in front of it. Ten nights from Tokyo's Meguro river through Hakone's ryokan onsen to Kyoto's temple gardens at their most photographed moment — with private guides, before-opening access and a rail schedule already reserved.
This is not a fixed-departure tour. Every departure is private, and if the forecast shifts we shift the routing with it.
Explore our Japan destination guide, read when to visit for cherry blossom, and browse the wider cherry blossom collection.

Travellers on this journey
We had done Japan on a group tour before. This was unrecognisable. The Hoshinoya boat arrival alone was worth the trip.
